CLEAR Ministries church is all about a community of Jesus loving, believers who are passionate about worship and encountering the presence of God. We believe that our mandate is to equip and empower the bride of Christ, to know who they are so that they will be effective in seeing the darkness flee and seeing heaven on earth.

Pastors Bill and Loraine Scullard have a passion and a desire for the presence of the Lord. Their vision is to see the city of Cairns transformed. This can only be done with the empowerment of the Holy Spirit. Their hearts are that the church would rise up in unity and follow the direction that God gives us to see every knee bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.

New Beginnings - Our Story

For us our journey of beginning CLEAR Ministries church in Cairns, started after receiving the most inspirational dream. This dream was, to us, the first seed planted by God, the first sound of HIS CALL. Loraine dreamt she was flying upon the wings of a great eagle. So magnificent and powerful was His flight and yet so graceful that when she fell, the eagle would move quickly to sweep her up, not with His claws, but upon His pinions.

We were led to the Word of God, the Song of Moses (Deuteronomy 32:11), where Moses assured Israel of the constant presence of God with them during their wanderings in the desert.

Moses compared the presence of God to a mother eagle hovering over her nest, constantly protecting her young and lovingly caring, nourishing and strengthening them. Her young ones are strengthened as they eagerly wait upon their mother to be fed and prepared for the future. After receiving the dream and confirmation from God’s Word, the LORD took us to Cairns for a walk on the Esplanade. There we saw, right before our own eyes, a majestic, beautiful mountain, resembling the flight of an Eagle. GOD’s promise The HOLY SPIRIT. To us, it felt like GOD was assuring us in this most remarkable way of HIS constant presence with us. Just the same way the HOLY SPIRIT was constantly with the Israelites in the wilderness. WOW how awesome is our GOD!! How secure HIS promise and how comforting to know, that as we wait upon HIM, the HOLY SPIRIT will prepare, protect and strengthen us for an incredible future in HIM.

Therefore, we believe, we are “destined to soar”

Isaiah 40:31 (NKJV) “But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.”

2 Samuel 23:3-4 (NKJV) David’s Last Words. “The God of Israel said, The Rock of Israel spoke to me: ‘He who rules over men must be just, Ruling in the fear of God. And he shall be like the light of the morning when the sun rises, A morning without clouds, Like the tender grass springing out of the earth, By CLEAR shining after rain.”
