Karen Boyd Head of Prayer Ministry

Within the church, there are people who set time aside for specific prayer as requested.
Please let us know if you would like this group of faithful men and women to pray with or for you concerning a particular issue.

If you have a particular prayer need that emerges from your life or from something you have been moved by in the worship service, someone is always available to pray with you confidentially after the service.

In addition, anyone from our Sunday Service welcome team and leadership team can put you in touch with our Head of Prayer Ministry, Karen Boyed.

Also, please leave a message in the box below, and our team would love to intercede and pray with you.

Why do we pray together all at once for a specific purpose?

One of the most powerful things we can do to promote unity in the Church is to pray together for a specific purpose and one of the most powerful prayers is the prayer though the unity of faith.  As part of the Body of Christ being united together with HIM we all share our spiritual life in HIM together.

Praying together is one of the single most significant things we can do to cultivate unity in the church. There is a unity that is a given to those who are partners in Christ and share spiritual life in him.  Acts 1:14 (NASB) “These all with one mind were continually devoting themselves to prayer, along with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brothers”

Paul in all his travels was more than able to pray for himself and he most definitely spent ample time in prayer by himself, however he often asked other believers to pray with him as this provides a greater fruitfulness in the work he was commission to do.  We unite in the labour and fruits of each other’s ministries as we join in prayer together.

Romans 15:30-32 (NASB) “Now I urge you, brethren, by our Lord Jesus Christ and by the love of the Spirit, to strive together with me in your prayers to God for me, 31that I may be rescued from those who are disobedient in Judea, and that my service for Jerusalem may prove acceptable to the saints; 32 so that I may come to you in joy by the will of God and find refreshing rest in your company.”

Praying together in unity gives opportunity for God to do amazing things in our lives, such as the outpouring of the Holy Spirit.

Acts 1:13-14 New King James Version (NKJV) 13 And when they had entered, they went up into the upper room where they were staying: Peter, James, John, and Andrew; Philip and Thomas; Bartholomew and Matthew; James the son of Alphaeus and Simon the Zealot; and Judas the son of James. 14 These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brothers.

Praying together causes us to have a deeper and richer unity as a body of believers

Acts 4:24 (NASB) “And when they heard this, they lifted their voices to God with one accord and said, “O Lord, it is You who made the heaven and the earth and the sea, and all that is in them.”

The access point for heaven to invade Earth!

Just like radio signals that are all around us constantly, yet we can not see them nor can we engage with them, but that does not change the fact they are there. In the same way Christ has purchased all thing present and things to come, and defeated all sickness, disease and sin! Prayer is like the antennae on a radio, it creates an access point for the things that have already been done in the Heavenly realms to flow through us and impact the world around!
