‘One of them, an expert in the law, tested Jesus with this question: ‘Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law? ’ Jesus replied: “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” Matthew 22:36-40
When Jesus was asked what the most important commandment was, He pointed to relationships:
our relationship with God, and our relationship with others. At Clear Ministries, we believe that life
groups should be focused on building, strengthening and deepening these two aspects of
relationships. They should draw us closer to Jesus, and into more meaningful relationships with
others. This simple vision is at the heart of Life Groups at Clear Ministries.
Yes, there are many other facets to great life groups. They provide incredible opportunities to study
God’s word, ask honest questions and have vibrant discussions, but we are ultimately designed to be in a relationship with God and relationship with others, and life groups must always help people
to grow in these two areas.
Lifegroups are important in the life of church, it is a place of welcoming and a place of acceptance. It is also a place where you can share personal issues in a safe environment. We pray together, worship together and do Bible Study and grow together.
Lifegroup also creates an opportunity where you do life with others.
